The Northeast Health District is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Communicable Disease Specialist (CDS) Supervisor. Under supervision, the CDS Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and management of the district’s communicable disease program that includes sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV as well as supporting the TB and Epidemiology programs as needed.
As the Communicable Disease Specialist Supervisor within the Northeast Health District at the Georgia Department of Public Health
, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
Associate degree from an accredited college or university and four (4)years of experience in a related area; or six (6) years of experience in a medical-related field or Licensure as a registered nurse and three (3) years of nursing experience; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Communicable Disease Spec 3 (HCP082) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous supervisory experience

Bachelor’s degree in biological or health science from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of experience in a related area
