Position Overview
The Accounts Receivable Manager will oversee the daily operation of the Accounts Receivable Department, including collections, account review, payment processing, customer account resolution and supervision of the department’s employees. This individual will also interact directly with customers and dealers who visit our facility to pick up products, making strong customer service and communication skills essential.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage, support and develop a team of approximately four to five Accounts Receivable employees.
· Oversee daily accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, payment posting, account reconciliation and collections.
· Manage the collection of past-due balances while preserving positive and professional customer relationships.
· Review accounts receivable aging reports and establish priorities for collection activity.
· Work directly with customers and dealers to resolve billing questions, payment discrepancies, account issues and credit concerns.
· Assist customers and dealers who visit the facility to pick up products and ensure account and payment requirements are handled professionally.
· Monitor employee workloads, establish departmental priorities and ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
· Train, mentor and evaluate Accounts Receivable Department employees.
· Review customer accounts and payment histories and assist with credit-related decisions.
· Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, Shipping and other internal departments to resolve customer account matters.
· Develop and maintain effective accounts receivable and collection procedures.
· Provide management with regular reporting on collections, aging balances, account concerns and departmental performance.
· Assist with month-end and year-end accounts receivable responsibilities.
· Maintain accurate records and ensure customer financial information is handled confidentially.
Qualifications
· A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible accounts receivable experience; seven to ten or more years is strongly preferred.
· Significant hands-on commercial collections experience is required.
· Previous experience supervising or managing an Accounts Receivable Department or financial team.
· Strong understanding of accounts receivable procedures, account reconciliation, credit and collections.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong customer service and relationship-management abilities.
· Ability to communicate professionally and confidently when discussing past-due balances or resolving account disputes.
· Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple deadlines.
· Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
· Manufacturing, wholesale, distribution or dealer-network experience is preferred.
· A college degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
