Speak, Play, Love is a therapist-owned mobile-based practice seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in providing exceptional therapy services to children. This flexible position is available Full-time or Part-time in Charlotte, NC!
We primarily work with Medicaid clients and are committed to building a team of therapists who are passionate about helping all children, with a special focus on those most underserved in our community. We also serve commercial insurance and private pay clients.
Our mission is to create positive and lasting impacts in the lives of the families we serve by delivering speech therapy in familiar, natural environments such as their home or daycare setting. We offer our therapists full flexibility in setting their schedules and hours, enabling you to create a work-life balance tailored to your lifestyle.
Our primary referral sources are: Children’s Developmental Services Agency (CDSA), daycare referrals, social media, Pediatricians' offices, and word of mouth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy in the child’s home or daycare.
- Communicate with families where English is not their 1st language (primarily Spanish).
- Perform reliable speech and language evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Advocate for the children and families when collaborating with others during IFSP and IEP meetings.
- Educate and support caregivers to foster continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with company and insurance policies utilizing SimplePractice.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and other professionals involved in the child’s care plan.
- Stay informed on best practices and advances in pediatric speech-language pathology via CEU’s.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current North Carolina state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly children under five years old, is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Reliable transportation to travel between client locations.
