Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair.
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly, attentive service.
- Handle retail sales transactions efficiently using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring accurate cash handling and register operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling and food preparation procedures.
- Assist in food service tasks such as serving baked goods, snacks, or light meals while ensuring quality presentation.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
- Support the team in maintaining a tidy workspace, restocking supplies, and following health regulations related to food safety.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or background in food service is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for retail transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours.
- Experience in café or retail environments is a plus; enthusiasm for the food industry is essential.
