Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical assisting within diverse clinical settings, including outpatient, hospital, and emergency environments. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by delivering exceptional patient care, managing clinical procedures, and ensuring efficient clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs and updating medical histories accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist with clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and preparing patients for examinations or procedures.
- Manage medical documentation meticulously, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and accurate ICD coding for diagnoses.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Utilize EHR systems effectively for scheduling, documentation, and managing patient records across outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring a positive experience.
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office management and medical assisting within urgent care, or hospital environments.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to outpatient and inpatient care.
- Competence in performing phlebotomy, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (BLS).
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and electronic health records management.
- Ability to handle medical records accurately while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Experience with ICD coding and medical documentation for billing purposes.
- Excellent patient service skills combined with effective communication abilities to foster trust and comfort.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
