About Simbioza Inc. Simbioza is a remote-first healthcare company supporting members nationwide through a calm, human care model powered by a modern tech stack. Our team works with patients by phone/video, helps coordinate care across providers, and uses an AI platform to bring medical information into one clear view. We are committed to privacy, security, and HIPAA-compliant operations.
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective patients and referral partners, driving program growth through proactive outreach and meaningful relationship building. Your experience in healthcare sales — combined with your ability to qualify leads, navigate insurance eligibility, and guide patients through enrollment — will be central to expanding our reach and supporting our clinical team.
IMPORTANT: This is a PRN (as-needed) position. Hours are offered based on operational need and patient volume. This role is not a part-time or full-time position and is not intended to evolve into one.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience enrolling patients into a clinic or healthcare program, a working knowledge of insurance verification, and a proven track record in outbound and inbound sales. We hire carefully for professionalism, persistence, and genuine care for the people we serve.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
- Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach to generate new leads and expand patient and referral territory coverage.
- Handle inbound inquiries from prospective patients and caregivers, providing clear and empathetic information about Simbioza's program and assessing fit for enrollment.
- Qualify leads using defined criteria, ensuring prospective patients meet clinical and insurance eligibility requirements before advancing in the enrollment process.
- Guide patients and caregivers through the sign-up and enrollment process, including collecting required information, confirming insurance coverage and benefits eligibility, and supporting prior authorization workflows as needed.
- Set and coordinate appointments between qualified prospects and the clinical team, ensuring smooth hand-offs and continuity of care.
- Build strong relationships with referral sources, provider offices, and community partners to support ongoing lead generation and territory development.
- Manage and update CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot or similar) to track leads, interactions, enrollment status, and sales activities accurately.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations team to develop territory strategies, identify opportunities for growth, and achieve enrollment targets.
- Support account management efforts by nurturing existing relationships and identifying opportunities for program expansion or re-engagement.
- Assist in conducting market research, analyzing outreach data, and preparing reports to optimize lead generation and enrollment strategies.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly outreach activity benchmarks and enrollment goals.
- Provide feedback on objection handling, patient concerns, and outreach strategies to help continuously improve enrollment workflows.
Required Qualifications (must-have)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare sales, patient enrollment, inside sales, or a related outbound/inbound sales role.
- Demonstrated experience enrolling patients into a clinic, health program, or similar healthcare service — including insurance verification, benefits confirmation, and eligibility workflows.
- Strong knowledge of outbound sales techniques including cold calling, email outreach, lead qualification, and appointment setting.
- Experience with inbound sales and handling prospective patient or caregiver inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Hubspot or similar platforms; proficiency in sales management or patient tracking systems preferred.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to explain complex healthcare information in plain language and build trust quickly.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret outreach data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and territories independently.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications (nice-to-have)
- Experience in telehealth, virtual-first care, or remote patient enrollment models.
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, or Medicaid coverage and eligibility processes.
- Experience in a B2B sales environment, including working with provider offices, health systems, or referral networks.
- Experience working in a digital health startup or fast-changing healthcare environment.
- Proficiency with sales engagement tools or dialers (e.g., RingCentral, HubSpot, or similar).
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred; not required).
