Description:
Location: West Chicago, Illinois (Approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes from the city of Chicago)
Schedule: First shift 6:00am - 2:30pm, full-time, Monday - Friday
Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience
Overtime: Available as production needs require
Tomenson Machine Works is seeking an experienced CNC Quality Inspector to inspect precision-machined hydraulic manifolds and related components. This position is responsible for in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet blueprint, tolerance, and customer requirements.
The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of inspection experience in a CNC machining environment and is comfortable working directly with machinists and production supervisors to identify and resolve quality issues.

Perform in-process, and final inspections on CNC-machined hydraulic manifolds and components

Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and inspection requirements

Inspect dimensions, hole locations, port details, threads, depths, and critical machined features

Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, depth gauges, pin gauges, and thread plug gauges

Verify that parts meet print and customer requirements before moving to the next operation or shipping

Complete inspection reports and accurately record measurement results

Identify and document nonconforming parts

Communicate inspection findings clearly with machinists, supervisors, and quality personnel

Help investigate dimensional problems and support corrective actions

Maintain inspection equipment and a clean, organized work area

Follow all company quality and safety procedures

At least 1 year of CNC machining or quality inspection experience

Experience inspecting precision-machined components

Strong blueprint-reading skills

Proficiency with common precision measuring instruments

Ability to understand dimensional tolerances and inspect detailed machined features

Strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping

Ability to work independently and manage inspection priorities
