Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Retail Manager to lead our Bakery Retail team with passion and precision. Duties
- Lead and supervise retail staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management, to ensure a motivated and efficient team
- Oversee daily retail operations, including inventory control, product stocking, merchandising, and cleaning.
- Manage sales activities by providing excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving issues promptly. This includes wholesale accounts, fundraisers, retail, and gift box orders.
- Handle cash register operations with accuracy.
- Conduct employee training and facilitate team meetings to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Utilize POS systems effectively for transactions; oversee shift management to ensure smooth store operations at all times.
- Work with The 200 Acres management team on a daily basis.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail or food service environments with supervising responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills; Demonstrated ability in employee training & development.
- Familiarity with POS systems, Google Docs and Sheets, as well as general computer skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Leadership qualities with previous assistant manager or shift supervisor experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed

The Homestead Bakery is located south of Arthur at The Great Pumpkin Patch and offers a full line of made-from-scratch Amish baked goods, including caramel-iced cinnamon rolls, honey yeast breads, sweet breads, cookies, angel food cakes, and our famous pumpkin cookies. We provide quality made-from-scratch baked goods and impeccable service while giving our customers, employees and community an unmatched experience.
Compensation is based on experience.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
