Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing installations meet safety standards, building codes, and client specifications. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment on construction sites and in existing structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of piping systems
- Perform pipe threading, welding, and assembly tasks with precision to meet project specifications
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues related to leaks, blockages, or mechanical failures
- Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and project managers to coordinate work schedules and ensure seamless project progression
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex plumbing problems efficiently on-site or in the field service setting
- Lift heavy materials safely while adhering to safety protocols during installation or maintenance activities
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction plumbing with a solid understanding of plumbing codes and safety standards
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading machines
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, remodeling projects, and general maintenance tasks
- Field service experience with troubleshooting and repairing plumbing issues in various environments
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work
- Familiarity with carpentry techniques relevant to plumbing installations or remodeling projects
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during material handling or installation tasks
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus for transporting materials or equipment
