RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Coordinate deliveries to Behlen customers, ensuring on-time delivery
· Manage fleets at Behlen MFG locations
· Communicate internally and externally to optimize productivity
· Assist in the on-boarding of new drivers
· Maintain reports and documentation as needed
· Audit loaded trailers to ensure product can be delivered safely and damage free
· Negotiate rates with LTL carriers
· Oversee inbound and outbound LTL shipments to ensure optimal rates and performance
· Practice safe working habits and follow safety policy, procedures, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
REQUIREMNTS:
· Knowledge of DOT regulations
· Good communication skills and working with Team Partners and drivers in meeting customer needs
· Individual must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends, holidays and hours that exceed the normal workweek when business levels demand. Also, occasional night calls and emergencies are standard with job position.
· 2-year degree or experience in transportation required
· Computer Skills
· Dispatch and/or driving experience preferred
