Key Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license required
- Prior experience working in a school setting is essential
- Strong clinical skills in health assessments, vision and hearing screenings, and medication administration
- Demonstrated ability to provide diabetic care and manage chronic health conditions in school-aged children
- Effective communicator with students, parents, and colleagues
- Collaborative spirit and ability to work well within a team of healthcare professionals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct student health screenings, including vision and hearing assessments
- Manage daily student medications and provide diabetic care as needed
- Work closely with LPN staff to triage health concerns and respond to emergencies
- Keep thorough, confidential records of student health visits and interventions
- Educate students and staff on wellness topics and preventative health practices
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students’ health needs within the school environment
