Description:
To work with a licensed agency providing services to clients utilizing a person-centered approach. We are looking for a part time candidate to provide companion services throughout the week in the afternoon and over the week-end for a client in the Lantana, FL area.
Duties include:
- Companion services consist of non-medical care, supervision, and socialization activities
- Provides access to community-based activities such as local parks, libraries, mall, church, ...
- Other activities designed to keep client entertained and active
- Note: The client needs to be picked up from home around 11:00 AM and taken to a day program at 12:00 noon for 2 hours; afterwards, take the client to the community before taking the client home.
Basic Requirements:
- Must be age 18 years or older,
- Have a high school diploma or GED, and have at least one year of verifiable experience working directly with individuals receiving services in a medical, psychiatric, nursing, or childcare setting or working with recipients who have a developmental disability
- Must have reliable transportation
- Pass level two background screening
- Pass local background screening with your local police department
- Complete agency training as mandated
- Current valid automotive insurance
- Be able to work on weekends

- Potential schedule: Monday - Friday 11:00 am - 5:00 pm, the client may ask you to come earlier on Friday
- Number of hours: 6 hours per day (30 hours per week).
Education:

Certifications:
- CPR and First AID
- APD Certificates: Zero Tolerance; Direct Care Core Competencies; Requirements for All Waiver Providers, HIPAA
