Overview
Big Bear Electric is an established electrical contracting company looking to add a skilled Electrician with 5–8 years of experience to our team.
We are looking for someone who can work independently on standard tasks, support job efficiency, and continue developing toward a full mechanic role.
Most of our work is residential (new construction, renovations, and service work).
Duties
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems on construction sites, including low voltage and high voltage applications
- Perform rough wiring, device installation, and trim work
- Work alongside, lead and support apprentice electricians on jobs
- Complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Handle tools, materials, and job setup efficiently
- Follow company standards for installation and quality and workmanship
- Perform residential electrical troubleshooting independently
- Communicate clearly with team members and customers
- Keeping projects moving efficiently and on schedule
Requirements
- 5-8 years of electrical experience (required)
- Strong understanding of residential wiring methods
- Ability to work independently on standard tasks, including: Running wire, Installing outlets, switches, lighting, troubleshooting, panel work
- Good work ethic and consistent attendance
- Takes direction well and works as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license (must be insurable)

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Experience:
- Residential Electrician: 5 years (Required)
- Residential Electric Troubleshooting: 5 years (Required)
- Electrical Generator Service work: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
