JOB SUMMARY:
The Strategic Research & Venture Analyst plays a critical role in TotalCare’s new venture incubation and execution model. This position is responsible for conducting in-depth research, analysis, and due diligence to support the development and launch of new business lines and subsidiaries. The role serves as a strategic partner to the VP of Business Development, transforming high-level direction into structured research, risk assessments, financial models, and actionable recommendations that drive new ventures from concept through breakeven or profitability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Conduct in-depth, thorough research and analysis for new ventures, including market scans, competitor assessments, regulatory reviews, financial projections, feasibility studies, and risk/reward frameworks.
- Serve as a built-in devil’s advocate by challenging assumptions, identifying potential risks, and providing balanced, data-driven perspectives and recommendations.
- Develop polished deliverables including one-pagers, slide decks, memos, project trackers, and executive summaries.
- Coordinate operational support activities, including scheduling and preparing for key meetings with legal, vendors, physicians, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain organized project documentation, shared drives, and status trackers across multiple initiatives.
- Support the daily advancement of active ventures, with initial focus on PrecisionLink (TotalCare’s 24/7 nurse triage and care navigation service).
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support Corporate Development objectives.
- Independently deliver complete research packages for active projects.
- Identify and surface meaningful risks or opportunities that would otherwise have been overlooked.
- Contribute to smoother and more efficient internal meetings through high-quality preparation and follow-up.
Standard Positional Responsibilities:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of professional experience in research, risk management, business development, consulting, corporate strategy, or healthcare operations.
- Startup or growth-stage company experience is a plus.
- Healthcare industry background, particularly exposure to regulatory topics (AKS/Stark, telehealth, or clinical operations).

- Ability to maintain confidentiality:
- The routine duties of this position involve a low level of exposure to Protected Health Information (PHI). However, strict adherence to HIPAA regulations is required in any instance of direct or indirect involvement with PHI.
- Able to enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, conferences and workshops; shows responsibility for own professional practice and on-going education.

- Additional languages are an advantage, but not required.

- Knowledge of OSHA & HIPAA standards and requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to bend, lift, twist, sit and/or stand/walk for up to 12 hours daily.
- Communicate with staff members who have inquiries; must be able to exchange accurate information.
- Must be able to move between work areas, office machinery, patient exam rooms and to other various locations throughout the facility.
- Must be able to see the computer screen and able to participate in training classes where computer screens are referenced or by handouts and/or hands-on training.

TRAVEL & WORKING HOURS REQUIREMENTS:
- Travel:
- Travel between TotalCare facilities, administration buildings, and/or local off-site venues for meetings, training sessions or shift coverage may arise and is considered within the scope of this position.
- Minimal out-of-town travel is expected (typically less than 5%)
- Standard Hours:
- Work is generally performed during standard business hours; however, occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required based on company needs or special events.
