About the Role
As a Field Service Technician specializing in commercial entry systems, you will be the primary expert responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of diverse door and dock hardware. You will play a vital role in ensuring site security and operational efficiency by delivering high-quality technical solutions in a fast-paced field environment.
Responsibilities-
Execute precise installations and troubleshooting of commercial doors, loading docks, and integrated hardware systems.

Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures, including springs, hinges, locks, and low-voltage access control components.

Ensure all service outcomes strictly adhere to building codes and safety regulations.

Provide professional consultation to clients, explaining repair processes and recommending cost-effective, long-term solutions.

Perform rigorous quality assurance checks on all completed work to maintain high operational standards.

Maintain accurate service documentation and digital reporting for all site visits.

Utilize specialized hand and power tools to perform complex repairs in varied industrial and retail settings.
Qualifications-
3+ years of professional experience in the commercial door or industrial service industry.

Demonstrated proficiency in reading tape measures and performing accurate mathematical calculations.

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues.

Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders up to 20 feet, and work in various physical positions.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass background/drug screenings.

Current AAADM certification.

Prior experience with welding or fabrication.

Technical knowledge of automatic door systems and storefront glazing.

Experience with hollow metal frames and advanced access control hardware.
