Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing the production process for 2 Plants to ensure that safety, production, quality, cost, and customer service goals are met timely and efficiently. In this role one will make decisions concerning the production processing area, inventory requirements, staffing requirements and work procedures while considering budget and time constraints.
Essential Duties of the Job but not limited to the following:
· Monitoring the production processes to ensure goals are being met; schedules are followed
· Meet set budget and department goals
· Managing, direct, training and motivating a team of workers through effective communication
· Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs
· Ensure that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
· Prepare, maintain and submit production reports timely and accurately.
· Ensure that HACCP, GMPs and OSHA guidelines are being followed
· Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance,
· Perform evaluation reviews on all production supervisors
· Resolve (proactively) employee-disciplinary issues/concerns with assistance from Plant Manager/HR
· Communicate and work cooperatively with members of the department and other plant employees
· Comply with all Federal, State and Company Safety guidelines
· Use all safety devices to make others aware of any safety concerns

Education and/or Experience:
Minimum High School Diploma, additional education/certification preferred but not mandatory
5-10 years manufacturing experience (Food/meat industry preferred)
Must have a thorough understanding of Company policies and working rules

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk 100% of the time. Lifting and carrying of product does not exceed 65 lbs. Employees will perform occasionally twisting, turning, bending, kneeling and reaching. The employee will frequently reach above shoulder and outward.

In the absence of the Production Manager, the Plant Manager will cover the job duties.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
