Position Overview:
We are seeking a Machine Shop Maintenance Technician to join our growing team in our San Marcos manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines, manual mills/lathes, compressors, and other shop equipment to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, auxiliary equipment, and band saws.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Maintain and repair shop support systems (air compressors, coolant systems, etc.).
- Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment.
- Work with the production team to identify and resolve performance or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance logs, and service schedules.
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and calibrations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on facilities, fixtures, and equipment to minimize downtime and repair costs.
- Assemble, install, and maintain workplace fixtures, including office furniture, workstations, shelving, doors, locks, hinges, and related hardware.
- Perform general facilities maintenance, including basic carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and minor electrical and plumbing tasks such as replacing light fixtures, outlets, faucets, and valves.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience maintaining CNC machines (Haas, DOOSAN, HERMLE, MAZAK, AND similar preferred).
- Familiarity with PLC systems and industrial controls a plus.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Organized, reliable, and proactive with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Haas CNC maintenance experience.
- Welding and fabrication skills for light repairs.
- Understanding of coolant systems and chip conveyors.
- Forklift certification or experience operating material-handling equipment.

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
