Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Cook a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery
- Follow safety standards in production, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures
- Support menu planning by preparing ingredients for upcoming service periods and catering events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
- Assist with food portioning, slicing techniques, and knife skills to optimize efficiency and presentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within restaurant or food industry settings
- Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient handling
- Knowledge of safety standards in production and food safety management practices
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining high-quality meal preparation standards
- Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
