About Heartwood Marriage & Family Wellness
Heartwood Marriage & Family Wellness is a growing, attachment-oriented private practice serving individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents. Our practice is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), EFIT, and systemic thinking while welcoming clinicians who incorporate other evidence-based and relational approaches.
We are expanding our clinical training program and seeking Associate/Pre-Licensed Clinicians who want more than a place to collect hours. We are looking for developing clinicians who want thoughtful supervision, hands-on clinical experience, professional development, and a supportive environment where asking questions and continuing to learn are encouraged.
In-person work is optional. Telehealth opportunities are available based on client and practice needs.

Duties
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems, and clinical documentation standards.
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aligned with evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and psychodynamic therapy.
- Provide direct support through individual, group, and family counseling sessions addressing issues like grief, trauma, PTSD, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, addiction, and gender issues counseling.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure client safety and stability during acute episodes.
- Document clinical notes accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Participate in case management activities including patient care coordination, social work interventions, and treatment planning meetings.
- Support research initiatives by collecting data, analyzing outcomes, and contributing to clinical research projects aimed at improving mental health services.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of an accredited master’s or doctoral program in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field with relevant coursework in psychotherapy and clinical practices.
- Hold a qualifying graduate degree in a behavioral health discipline
- Hold or be eligible for the appropriate Georgia associate/pre-licensed credential, when applicable
- Be actively working toward independent clinical licensure
- Maintain professional liability insurance
- Experience working with children, youth, or individuals with disabilities including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, co-occurring disorders, or developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as behavioral therapy (including applied behavior analysis), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychopharmacology basics, and trauma-focused approaches.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical terminology related to mental health conditions.
- Experience working with telehealth platforms and familiarity with clinical documentation standards is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams; ability to handle crisis situations effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations; understanding of clinical ethical guidelines.

Associate / Pre-Licensed Clinicians-Starting compensation: $30 per completed clinical hour/session.
