General Summary
The Preschool Manager provides operational leadership for Concord Kids (Preschool) Ministry, ensuring programs are organized, systems-driven, and aligned with the church’s vision and mission. This role supports volunteers, equips parents, and creates a safe, engaging, and spiritually enriching environment for preschool children.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role is an individual contributor and does not have supervisory responsibilities. This role will lead volunteers assigned to the Preschool Ministry.
Essential Functions

Implement Preschool Ministry programs aligned with the church’s vision and discipleship strategy.

Implement curriculum to all stakeholders

Serve as a resource on preschool development and trends to strengthen ministry effectiveness.

Evaluate ministry effectiveness and recommend improvements based on feedback and participation.

Advocate for developmentally appropriate and spiritually meaningful experiences for preschool children.
Strategic Leadership & Ministry Growth

Team Leadership & Development

Recruit, onboard, and support contractors and volunteers.

Coordinate contractor/volunteer scheduling, training, and communication.

Ensure appropriate volunteer-to-child ratios and adequate coverage.

Encourage volunteer growth through guidance and development opportunities.
Systems, Operations & Execution

Plan and execute all Preschool Ministry programs, events, and activities.

Manage registrations, attendance, volunteer schedules, and ministry data in the church database.

Maintain organized records, reports, and ministry files.

Oversee event logistics and follow-up.

Manage the Preschool Ministry budget in alignment with church policies.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and church procedures.
Communication & Engagement

Communicate with parents, contractors, volunteers, and leadership regarding ministry activities and expectations.

Equip parents with resources to support their child’s development and spiritual growth.

Collaborate with ministry leaders to promote engagement.

Serve as a liaison with community organizations related to preschool and family support.
Member Care & Support

Create a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment for children and families.

Respond to parent and volunteer needs with care and professionalism.
Additional Responsibilities
-
Attend required meetings, trainings, and church-wide event as required by Concord Church.

Pursue ongoing learning in preschool ministry and child development.

Complete special projects as assigned (Easter Extravaganza, Harvest Carnival).

Support the vision, values, and statement of faith of Concord Church.

Willingness to obtain Licensing Director credentials

Schedule and manage baby dedications
Skills Needed

Proven expertise in administration, formal training in Preschool Ministry required.

Education and Experience
-
This position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Ministry, Christian Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years proven expertise in administration and formal training in Children’s Ministry or Early Childhood Education required.

Non-profit or ministry experience with a faith-based organization with at least 500 members/attendees, preferred.

Advanced Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and web savvy.
Physical Requirements

An employee in this position primarily works in a typical office environment, is generally sedentary, and uses computers, calculators, phones, and other office equipment to draft documents, communication with church staff.

An employee in this position is required to walk, hear, speak, and stand to interact with children, parents, staff, members, and volunteers.

Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- The ability to manage stress, build professional, collaborative relationships, and reason through complex church business situations is required.

A flexible schedule is required since this position requires evening and weekend work. This position may be expected to work overtime.
Travel Requirements
Minimal travel is required for this position. A valid Texas drivers’ license and acceptable motor vehicle record is required.
