Description of Responsibilities
The Cashier is responsible for providing outstanding customer services to patients of the Company.
Reporting Relationship
Pharmacist-in-charge
Responsibilities of the Cashier include the following:
1. Handles cash transactions with customers using the Point of Sale register
2. Scan prescriptions and collect payment
3. Post payments to the customers A/R account
4. Issue receipts, refunds, change for purchased items
5. Redeem stamps and coupons
6. Provide excellent customer service
7. Greet customers when entering the store
8. Maintain clean and tidy checkouts areas and product shelves
9. Maintain reports of transactions
10. Performs the duties of opening and closing the Point of Sale register
11. Answer the phone with a calm, curteous, helpful voice.
12. Stock shelves with merchandise
13. Assist in inventory counts
14. Assist in answer customers inquiries
15. Perform cashier duties for the pharmacy.
16. Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Pharmacy Manager.
17. Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
18. Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
19. Participate in the Company’s Performance Improvement Program as requested
20. Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities.
21. Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
2. Strong communication skills in speaking and writing.
3. Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate orders.
