We're looking for a motivated, organized individual to join our team in a unique role with expected advancement. You'll begin by covering in our parts department, learning our products, systems, and processes. When the Parts Manager returns, it’s anticipated you'll transition into a Field Service Technician role, where you'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial sawing equipment at customer locations throughout the Midwest and occasionally nationally.

Position Overview
During the initial phase, you will be responsible for the day-to-day in office operations of our parts department, ensuring customers receive the parts they need - accurately and on time - while maintaining inventory and vendor relationships.
After the temporary assignment, you will transition into our Field Service Technician position, applying the product knowledge you've gained to service and repair industrial sawing equipment.
Responsibilities During Parts Department Coverage
- Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory records
- Process customer parts orders by phone, email, and online
- Place purchase orders with vendors and monitor order status
- Receive, stock, and organize incoming inventory
- Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage and update our online parts storefront
- Assist customers with identifying replacement parts and product information
- Follow established internal processes and documentation procedures
- Coordinate with the service department to ensure technicians have required parts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts department
Responsibilities After Transitioning to Field Service
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial sawing machinery at customer facilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Document service work and communicate findings with customers
- Provide excellent customer service while representing our company professionally
- Travel to customer locations as needed
- Work closely with the parts department to ensure timely repairs
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer service experience with strong communication skills
- Comfortable learning new software and inventory management systems
- High mechanical aptitude and an interest in troubleshooting equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Forklift experience is a plus (or willingness to learn)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience in industrial equipment, manufacturing, warehouse operations, automotive, machinery, or parts management is preferred but not required
