Job Summary:
The Home Health Clinical Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating patient intake, physical therapy referrals, clinician scheduling, nurse staffing, assistance with payroll processing, and ongoing communication with patients, referral sources, physicians, and field staff. This role ensures timely patient admissions, appropriate clinical staffing, accurate payroll processing, and compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage new patient referrals, intake, insurance verification, and authorization requests.
- Coordinate Physical Therapy (PT), Skilled Nursing (SN), and other discipline visits.
- Assist with scheduling and staffing nurses, therapists, and other clinical personnel.
- Coordinate start-of-care visits and ongoing patient scheduling.
- Communicate with physicians, referral sources, patients, and field clinicians.
- Monitor staffing coverage and assist in resolving scheduling conflicts.
- Track physician orders, documentation, and outstanding clinical requirements.
- Assist with Processing of payroll for nurses, therapists, and other field staff.
- Review timesheets and visit records for payroll accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and agency requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Home health or healthcare administration experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance authorization processes.
- Experience with home health EMR systems such as Axxess, WellSky, or Homecare Homebase.
- Experience with clinician scheduling and staffing coordination.
- Payroll processing experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
