Responsibilities
- Safely transport food from the kitchen to tables using proper manual handling and lifting techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Ensure food orders are accurate and delivered promptly to enhance guest satisfaction
- Assist with clearing tables, bussing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold food safety standards
- Support food preparation and plating as needed under the guidance of culinary staff
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate service flow
- Uphold high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety throughout all duties
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including banquet or hotel settings
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills for effective in-person customer service and teamwork
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices
- Familiarity with POS systems (Toast) for order processing and transactions
- Experience with food running, serving, and supporting culinary operations
- Knowledge of cleaning, bussing, and basic kitchen tasks such as food preparation and cooking assistance
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and guest satisfaction
