Personal Care Assistant (PCA) – Home CareJob Description
Bella Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our growing home care team in Columbia, SC.
As a PCA, you will provide personalized, hands-on support to clients who need assistance with daily living activities while allowing them to remain comfortable and independent in their own homes. Our clients range from children and young adults to seniors, making this a rewarding opportunity for caregivers who enjoy making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and other basic nutritional needs as required
- Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, tidying, and maintaining a clean living environment
- Assist with mobility, positioning, and transfers when needed
- Follow each client's individualized care plan and instructions
- Observe clients for changes in condition, behavior, or needs and promptly report concerns to the supervisor
- Maintain client dignity, privacy, safety, and independence at all times
- Provide dependable and respectful care in accordance with agency standards
Requirements
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional attitude
- Ability to follow individualized care plans and supervisory instructions
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to safely perform physical caregiving duties
- Must successfully complete a required background check
- Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required; training may be available
- Reliable transportation is required; personal vehicle is strongly preferred
- Must provide two (2) forms of valid identification
- Must wear black scrubs while on duty
Work Environment
- In-home caregiving environment
- Flexible scheduling with opportunities for day, evening, and weekend shifts
- Assignments may include caring for children, adults, or senior clients
- Work independently while receiving ongoing support from our home care team
