Overview
This position is responsible for packing, transporting, and selling Water Tank Bakery products at the Bellingham Farmers Market.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Packaging bread as needed and packing into delivery totes
- Tracking inventory and sales
- Loading the delivery van with product/equipment and driving to the market
- Providing superior friendly, knowledgeable, and quality customer service at markets
- Communicating product and business information with customers as necessary
- Utilizing a Shopify POS system to ring up orders and cash handling
- Sanitarily packaging pastry and bread
- Setting up and maintaining an aesthetically pleasing market table display
- Communicating relevant information to Market Managers within a reasonable time
- Reporting daily sales and paying market fees on behalf of the company
- Closing market display and cleaning up
- Safely handling unsold products and returning them to the bakery if necessary
- Leaving the van clean an organized and the key/cashbox/ipad in the office
Supervision Received:
This position is unsupervised and reports directly to Rachael Sobczak. All significant mistakes, concerns or questions that come up must be communicated with Rachael right away.

Other requirements:
- Be comfortable with safely driving a van and working independently.
- Be 18+ years old with reliable transportation.
- Be able to lift 50lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift and work in 80+ degree temperatures.
- Have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Have a current food service handling certification.
- Be able to demonstrate proficiency in basic mathematics, including proportions/percentages.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
