Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania has several openings for a custodian to work on a contract we have in Boyers, PA. Eligible candidates must have a documented disability. We currently have a 40 hour opening. The position is 8 hours per day Monday-Friday for a total of 40 hours per week. The custodian will work in conjunction with the other custodians on site. It is classified as a part-time position. The hourly rate is $17.75 with an additional rate of $5.09 for health coverage for a total of $22.84.
Qualifications-Custodian:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior general cleaning experience preferred. Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 40 pounds and climb ladders.
- Current valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and acceptable driving record obtained through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation preferred but not required.
- Acceptable Criminal Record Check and FBI Clearance required.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical and have a fitness for duty statement (paid for by Easterseals.)
Position Description-Custodian:
The custodian will be responsible for cleaning duties which may include sweeping, cleaning, polishing, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, washing, and dusting in office and restroom areas. Equipment that will be used includes ladders, mops/buckets, vacuum sweepers, floor buffers, cleaning carts, scrubbers, carpet shampooers and other cleaning type equipment.
