Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive repairs on automotive engines, including diesel and gasoline powertrains, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and schematics.
- Diagnose complex vehicle issues related to engine systems, electrical wiring diagrams, ADAS features, and overall vehicle operation.
- Conduct precise engine repairs, maintenance, and overhauls on a variety of vehicle makes and models, with a focus on GM vehicles when applicable.
- Utilize automotive diagnostic equipment to identify faults accurately and efficiently troubleshoot automotive electrical systems and vehicle systems.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and system integrations.
- Perform , suspension adjustments, and other vehicle maintenance tasks using power tools and manual handling techniques.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks and manual handling activities necessary for comprehensive vehicle repair projects while maintaining safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive engine technology, electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and diagnostics tools.
- Hands-on experience repairing diesel engines, engine systems, powertrains, and performing auto body repairs when needed.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools such as scan tools, oscilloscopes, and other electronic testing devices.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including ADAS features like lane departure warnings or adaptive cruise control.
- Ability to interpret schematics accurately for electrical wiring diagrams and system troubleshooting.
- Strong familiarity with standard passenger car operation as well as heavier vehicles when applicable.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, alignment equipment, and other automotive service machinery safely and effectively.
- Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely during repairs or maintenance activities.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism in all interactions.
