Duties
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients’ speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions using standardized assessments and clinical observations
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs and goals
- Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve communication skills and swallowing safety
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, educators, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care strategies
- Educate clients and their families on communication strategies, therapy exercises, and home practice routines
- Document therapy sessions accurately in client records while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards
- Monitor progress regularly and adjust treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program; Master’s degree preferred
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (e.g., ASHA Certification)
- Proven experience providing speech and language therapy across diverse populations and settings
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology assessment tools and therapeutic techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate clients and collaborate effectively with team members
- Ability to handle multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high-quality care
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus
