We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal controls.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Analyzing and reconciling complex accounts and reserves.
3. Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
4. Coordinating with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
5. Analyzing cash flow and preparing budget and forecast models.
6. Assisting with tax preparation and filing.
7. Evaluating accounting and internal control systems and implementing improvements.
8. Overseeing the financial inventory control process.
9. Preparing and presenting financial reports, trends, and financial outlook for senior management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proven experience with financial statement preparation, budgeting and forecasting, and financial analysis.
6. Experience with large accounting/finance software. Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is a plus.
7. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
9. Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and reliability.
10. Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
11. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
