As a senior care driver, your primary role is to transport senior citizens to and from the Center and their Assisted Living Homes as well as taking them out into the Community.. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others and has a passion for driving.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up and drop off senior citizens at various locations, including medical appointments, adult day center, and social events.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of senior passengers during transportation.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle, as well as with any mobility or other special needs they may have.
- Maintain accurate records of trips and mileage, including regular vehicle maintenance and cleaning.
- Communicate with senior passengers, their families, and other caregivers to ensure that their needs are met and their schedules are accommodated.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations, and maintain a positive and courteous attitude at all times.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a drug and background check.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be physically capable of assisting senior passengers with mobility needs.
- Previous experience working with senior citizens or in a similar caregiving role is preferred.
