The Logistics & Inventory Coordinator 1 is responsible for managing the flow of materials throughout the facility. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, and proper organization of materials to support production operations. The position works closely with production, purchasing, and quality teams to support overall company strategy and operational efficiency. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities:
Logistics & Shipping:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including receiving, inspection, documentation, and shipping preparation
- Prepare and stage materials for outgoing shipments to meet delivery schedules
- Work with carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL) to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- ·Maintain the quality and standard of work expected across all production processes
Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory counts and maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate discrepancies
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored in correct locations
Material Handling:
- Move parts and materials to correct locations to support production flow.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
Planning & Communication:
- Fulfill work schedules as set by the Production Supervisor and Department Manager
- Work effectively and efficiently within teams under the direction of the Team Leader or Department Manager
- Maintain clear, honest, and timely communication with supervisors and team members to enable effective cooperation
Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement:
- Adhere to lean practices to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement
- Actively reduce scrap and rework through precision and attention to detail
- Treat each downstream process or colleague as an internal customer to support quality handoffs and operational excellence
Equipment & Systems:
- Operate basic production equipment and tools safely and accurately
- Conduct scheduled equipment checks and report maintenance needs to the Team Leader
- Utilize the MRP/ERP systems and data capture terminals to track progress, job status, timing, capacity, and downtime accurately
- Log in and out daily, including lunch breaks, using the data capture system in accordance with company policy
Health & Safety:
- Strictly follow all Health & Safety requirements, wear PPE at all times
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area to ensure safety and avoid cross-contamination
- Participate in routine housekeeping practices to uphold a high standard of cleanliness and efficiency
- Ensure adherence to company codes of conduct, timekeeping and disciplines
Quality:
All employees across all shifts hold delegated responsibility for ensuring product quality and only the Manufacturing Director and Operations Director shall have the authority to stop production to solve quality problems.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment
- Basic computer skills and ERP/MRP experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, and schematics
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to work in teams and communicate effectively
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
