Title: CAREER/TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CAREER PATH) PRECISION MACHINING MANUFACTURING INSTRUCTORReports to: Secondary Administrative Staff
Job Objective: Provides an instructional sequence of classes and experiences involving in-depth training to prepare students for careers and/or college. Helps students make appropriate choices. Encourages parental involvement.
Minimum Qualifications: Shall possess or be eligible for a valid Ohio Career Technical Precision Machining/Manufacturing teaching license/certificate or have five years recent work experience in Precision Machining/Manufacturing with an emphasis in Precision Machining. Must be willing to attend Kent State University for the career technical licensure program if no licensure.

Informs students and parents of teacher expectations and subsequently enforce classroom policy fairly and consistently. Consults with parents on a timely and needed basis (e.g. progress reports, phone calls, notes, parent/teacher conferences, etc.) throughout the school year.

Proctors district testing activities as directed. Upholds security procedures. Helps students with content-area preparation activities.

Maintains accurate records and submits reports on time.

Respects personal privacy. Maintains the confidentiality of privileged information.

Promotes the proper use, care, and security of school property.

Takes precautions to ensure safety. Monitors situations that may indicate a problem. Provides appropriate student supervision. Works with supervisors to manage or eliminate risk factors.

Ancillary Functions: Organizes and serves as an advisor to individual program CTSO (Career Technical Student Organization). Involves all students in the activities of the organization.

Supervises and coordinates individual career path supplemental program/CTSO and other program activities (e.g., culinary banquets, lunches, breakfasts; cosmetology hair-a-thons; additional program hour requirements; phlebotomy blood draws; leadership conferences; CTSO banquet, individual program fundraisers and competitions, etc.)

Develops and maintains appropriate course of study to instruct the program as assigned by the Board of Education and the Ohio Department of Education.
