NOW HIRING: Handyman / Property Maintenance Technician
Jayco Handyman & Contracting Services is growing, and we're looking for a dependable, skilled Handyman / Property Maintenance Technician to join our team in the DFW area.
We're looking for someone who can eventually be trusted to receive a work order, arrive at the property, communicate professionally with the customer/property manager, complete quality work, document the job, and move on to the next project without needing constant supervision.
Pay: $22–$28/hour, depending on experience and skill level
Schedule: Part-time to start, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position as workload increases
Service Area: Irving / Las Colinas and surrounding DFW areas
Typical work may include:
- General handyman repairs
- Furniture Assemblies
- Mounting TVs, shelves, curtain rods, pictures, & mirrors in commercial apartments
- Drywall repair and painting
- Door and hardware repairs/installations
- Minor plumbing (Replace faucets, garbage disposals, toilet repairs, etc)
- Minor Electrical (Light fixture/ ceiling fan replacements, replacing, switches & outlets)
- Punch-list work
- Commercial and residential maintenance projects
- Property maintenance and make-readies
We're looking for someone who:
- Has professional handyman, maintenance, remodeling, or construction experience
- Is dependable and shows up when scheduled
- Can troubleshoot and solve common repair problems
- Produces clean, professional-quality work
- Communicates well with customers and the office
- Can work independently without constant supervision
- Has reliable transportation
- Has their own basic hand/power tools
- Has a smartphone and can send job photos/updates
- Maintains a professional appearance and attitude
A broad skill set is valuable, but you do not need to know every trade. We're more interested in someone who is dependable, competent, honest about what they can and cannot do, and willing to grow with the company.
We're receiving an increasing amount of work from homeowners, businesses, and property-management companies, so there is significant opportunity for the right person to grow with us.
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
