Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Walker and Pet Sitter to join our team. This role is perfect for animal lovers who have experience in pet care and handling. As a Dog Walker and Pet Sitter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for pets while ensuring their safety and well-being. Your passion for animals will shine through as you engage with pets in a nurturing environment. You MUST live in Hebron/Amston/Marlborough or Columbia/Lebanon or Colchester. This position is on an as needed basis, hours are not guaranteed. You will be driving a lot to Hebron/Amston and Marlborough (and possibly Lebanon and Columbia) several times during the day including mornings, nights and weekends. You must be over 18 years with a high school degree. This is an Independent Contractor (1099-tax form) position ** Please do not apply if you live outside of the towns listed**
Responsibilities
- Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialization.
- Provide pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medications, and maintaining a clean-living environment for pets.
- Monitor the health and behavior of pets, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Utilize dog training techniques to reinforce positive behavior during walks and visits.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, employing proper animal restraint techniques when necessary.
- Maintain clear communication
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:
- Experience in dog training or handling, demonstrating an understanding of canine behavior.
- Experience in animal handling is a plus.
- Previous experience in pet sitting or kennel environments is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with business owner

Job Type: Contract
Projected Total Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
