Title: Project Manager -Materials Testing
Pay: $85,000 - $125,000 + bonus
Location: St. Louis, MO
Duration: Permanent/Direct Hire
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead construction materials and engineering projects from planning through completion. This is an opportunity to step beyond day-to-day technical work and take ownership of project delivery, client relationships, budgets, schedules, and team coordination.
You’ll work closely with clients, engineers, field teams, contractors, and internal specialists to keep projects moving, solve problems, and ensure high-quality results. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and natural leader who enjoys both the technical and business sides of project management.
What You’ll Do
- Lead small to medium-sized projects from kickoff through successful completion.
- Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and execution plans.
- Serve as a key client contact and build long-term relationships.
- Coordinate engineers, technicians, contractors, vendors, and specialized resources.
- Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and schedule while proactively addressing issues.
- Lead project safety efforts and promote a strong safety culture.
- Manage change orders, invoicing, project financials, and collections.
- Identify project risks and develop strategies to protect the client and organization.
- Drive continuous quality improvement and ensure deliverables meet expectations.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related technical field, plus 5+ years of relevant experience; or 9+ years of equivalent experience.
- Proven project management experience within construction materials, engineering, inspection, or a related industry.
- Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, teams, contractors, and client relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple offices and technical disciplines.
- Valid driver’s license as required.
Preferred: PE, PG, ICC, NICET, MoDOT, IDOT, or similar professional certifications.
