Sort-Rite International is hiring a Sheet Metal Worker to help assemble industrial food-processing equipment. This is a hands-on manufacturing role working with mechanical components and tools.
Responsibilities
- Operate press brake and forming equipment to bend stainless and carbon steel to spec
- Read shop drawings, bend prints, and flat patterns - Set up dies, check angles, and verify dimensions
- Hold tight tolerances on food-grade parts
- Use hand tools and power tools safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Compensation & Schedule
- Starting at $12.00/hour (higher based on experience)
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Overtime available as needed
- On-the-job training provided
