American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in Houston, TX, with a strong focus on structural heart procedures including clinical trials.

Cardiac Cath Lab unit located on floors 1 and 2 of the South Tower, in a hospital with an average daily census of 120 beds
-
Staffing model includes 3–4 staff per room, with a day shift combination of Rad Techs and RNs
-
Heavy structural heart procedures are the primary focus, including clinical trials
-
Equipment includes Siemens, GE, and Philips systems

EMR: Merge
-
Shift hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with after-hours and weekend on-call coverage

On-call required every other weekend and one weekday per week
-
Float coverage may include Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab Pre/Post

Minimum of 6 months of Cath Lab experience within the last 6 months

Texas state license or compact license required (license required if applicable)

Active ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the contract start)

Structural heart experience strongly preferred

US SSN and DOB required for consideration

One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted

Procedures performed include heavy structural heart interventions and participation in clinical trials

Self-motivated, team-focused candidates are the best personality fit for this unit

Royal blue scrubs required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
