We are looking to fill a per diem role with a talented Senior Principal Consultant - Financial Services to join our team of nearly 500 employees.
The Senior Principal Consultant serves as a senior-level financial executive and trusted advisor to client organizations. Acting in an outsourced CFO capacity, this role provides high-level fiscal leadership, strategic financial planning, oversight of financial compliance, integration of quality improvement, and infrastructure development to strengthen organizational sustainability and performance.
This position represents the highest level of subject matter expertise within the Financial Services team of Managed Services and plays a critical role in:

Contributing to business development and revenue growth for the service line
The Senior Principal Consultant operates with a high degree of autonomy and independent judgment, serves as a strategic thought partner to executive leadership and boards, and influences enterprise-level decision making across client organizations. This role also provides mentorship and technical oversight to financial services team members, including: Senior Consultant / Controller, Consultant / Staff Accountant, Associate Consultant / Bookkeeper
In this role, you will be

Partnering with the senior/executive leaders of customer organizations, including the board of directors, to provide specialized consultation and technical assistance to strengthen their fiscal practices, business intelligence, internal data management, and strategic decision-making capacity.

Advising customers on evolving policy, regulatory, and funding changes that may impact or create opportunities for the organization’s service or growth strategies and providing recommended approaches for adaptation.

Working with customers to develop customized implementation plans that align with the organization’s needs, culture, and strategic direction.

Using data and supporting customer data literacy to shape strategy, gauge impact, and identify opportunities for continued improvement.

Playing a lead role in developing and deploying new content and delivery modalities for fiscal practice transformation, financial quality improvement, and sustainability initiatives across multiple contexts within the behavioral health and human services sectors.

Contributing significantly to proposal development, pricing strategy, and other business development efforts to expand Financial Services offerings to current and new customers.

Serving as subject matter expert within areas of expertise for diverse projects across the Managed Services line and within CCSI where applicable.

Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members and subject matter experts to develop and implement multidisciplinary solutions where needed or desired.

Providing mentorship and quality oversight to Senior Consultants, Consultants, and Associates within the Financial Services team, ensuring high standards of technical accuracy, client satisfaction, and professional development.

Supporting performance management, coaching, and talent development efforts within the Financial Services vertical.

Performing other duties as assigned.
SENIOR PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT – VERTICAL SCOPE EXPECTATIONS

Serve as enterprise-level financial strategist for complex and multi-site nonprofit and healthcare organizations
-
Lead high-impact engagements involving fiscal restructuring, sustainability planning, rate modeling, revenue diversification, mergers/acquisitions, and risk mitigation
-
Shape and scale service offerings within the Financial Services vertical
-
Drive innovation in financial reporting, automation, forecasting, and business intelligence
-
Influence CCSI’s strategic growth within Managed Services
-
Develop scalable systems, repeatable methodologies, and financial frameworks for long-term sustainability
-
Maintain and leverage high-level strategic partnerships across the nonprofit, healthcare, and government sectors
What you bring
-
Advanced degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Public Health, or related field and/or work experience or equivalent education (see CCSI’s Education and Experience Equivalency Chart) and a minimum of 15 years of experience successfully leading teams or business units toward established goals and targets.

Solid understanding of the behavioral health and human services market sectors, including new program development and implementation.

Knowledge of the structures and business practices associated with managed care organizations, accountable care organizations and independent practice associations.

Experience with electronic billing procedures and management practices.

Ability to coach and mentor staff members to support personal growth and build agency capacity.

Excellent customer relationship skills, with the ability to assess needs, troubleshoot problems, develop solutions, and manage expectations.

Strong written and oral communications skills. Comfortable presenting to groups – both formal and informal.
Required for this position are:
- Executive-level financial leadership and strategic advisory experience

Deep expertise in nonprofit and healthcare fiscal management

Advanced knowledge of governmental funding structures, cost reporting, rate setting, and reimbursement methodologies

Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning

Strong board-level communication and presentation capabilities

Experience supervising and mentoring financial professionals

Ability to manage multiple complex engagements simultaneously

Strong business development acumen

Advanced proficiency in financial systems, accounting platforms, Excel modeling, and business intelligence tools

Exceptional analytical, systems-thinking, and problem-solving skills

High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to travel as required or requested to work with CCSI customers.

Satisfactory completion of all required background screenings.
