CareMed Clinic is a fast paced, expanding Primary Care, Urgent Care, and Weight Loss clinic with hard-working medical staff. We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse who strives to provide exceptional patient care and has good time management skills. X-Ray background is a plus.
Flexible schedule required.
Weekends required.
Typical hours per week: 30-40+

Mon-Fri 8-7
Sat-Sun 8-6
JOB OVERVIEW: Provides direct patient care and clinical support to healthcare providers, assisting with patient examinations, performing clinical procedures and ensuring accurate documentation while providing high-quality patient care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and medical history updates
· Assists physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants during examinations and procedures
· Administer medications and injections as ordered by provider
· Perform venipunctures as requested by provider
· Perform basic clinical procedures such as wound care, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing
· Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions as directed by provider
· Accurately document patient information, procedures, and provider instructions in the electronic health record (EHR)
· Review patient charts prior to appointments to ensure required documentation, labs, and records are available
· Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
· Assist with patient follow-up calls regarding test results, prescriptions, or provider instructions
· Support referral coordination and follow-up care when needed
· Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and clinical equipment
· Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures
· Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Current and active Licensed Practical Nurse license in state of employment (FL or AL – required)
· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
· 2+ years of experience in a medical clinic or healthcare setting (preferred)
