Duties
- Use RF scanners and manual handling techniques to accurately pick items according to order specifications
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Organize inventory within the warehouse, ensuring proper storage and easy retrieval of materials
- Prepare orders for shipping by packing items securely and labeling them correctly for delivery
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation
- Operate various warehouse equipment safely, including cranes, forklifts, and load & unload machinery
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or materials handling environments
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks safely
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations best practices
- Skilled in manual handling techniques with an understanding of heavy lifting safety procedures
- Familiarity with RF scanners, basic math skills for counting and measuring, and shipping & receiving protocols
- Experience in warehouse supervisor roles or leadership is a plus but not required
- Excellent adherence to safety protocols including OSHA standards; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
