Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests. This position requires a strong background in hospitality and kitchen management, along with excellent leadership skills.
Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and performance.
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food service operations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
- Assist in organizing banquet services and special events as required.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Experience
- Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
- Experience in menu planning and inventory control is preferred.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration between kitchen and service staff.
- Familiarity with bartending practices is a plus but not required.
- A passion for food service and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
