Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Basement and Crawlspace Waterproofing Technician to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, preparing, and executing waterproofing solutions in residential crawlspaces. Your expertise will help prevent water intrusion, mold growth, and structural damage, ensuring the longevity and safety of our clients' properties. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of basements and crawlspaces to identify water intrusion issues, moisture problems, and potential structural concerns.
- Prepare work sites by cleaning surfaces, removing debris, and setting up necessary equipment for waterproofing applications.
- Apply waterproofing membranes, sealants, caulking, and other materials with precision to ensure effective moisture barriers.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to install drainage systems, sump pumps, vapor barriers, and related components.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to coordinate work schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Operate heavy equipment when necessary for excavation or site preparation activities. (Rarely Required)
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and site conditions for quality assurance.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to uphold a safe working environment on all job sites.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of plumbing systems, electrical components related to sump pumps or dehumidifiers preferred.
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., caulking guns, screwdrivers) and power tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and heavy equipment operation.
- Strong understanding of waterproofing materials such as membranes, sealants, vapor barriers, and caulking techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively.
