American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a night shift assignment requiring a UT or compact RN license and telemetry/float experience across acuity levels.

Acute care hospital setting with Trauma Level 3 designation
-
MST Float Pool position within the UT Zone 2 float zone, primarily Telemetry unit type
-
Float requirements include coverage across ICU (low acuity holds within skillset), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units within the zone
-
May float mid-shift with paid travel time, and may be asked to work in a CNA/Sitter capacity during low census periods

Night shift schedule, 6p-6a, working every other weekend
-
12-hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week

Uses EPIC EMR
-
16-week assignment length with 3 open positions
-
Active UT or Compact RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NIHSS (active, not pending)

BSN not required for this position

Telemetry and acute care float experience required across varying acuity levels

Must provide a copy of driver's license for consideration

Nursys license verification required

Expected to float throughout all locations within the assigned 60-mile Zone 2 radius, regardless of chosen housing location

Traveler is responsible for securing housing that allows them to meet the full zone float requirement

Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility (zone city center for float positions) to be eligible

Must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote

12 hours of orientation provided

Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms will be considered
