Job Description
All-Nu Restoration is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Restoration Technician to join our team. The Restoration Technician will assist with water damage restoration, mold remediation, demolition, cleanup, drying, and restoration-related projects in residential and commercial properties.
The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, communicates professionally with customers and property managers, follows safety procedures, and is willing to learn and develop their restoration skills.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Respond to residential and commercial projects involving water damage, mold, and property damage.
- Perform initial inspections and identify affected materials and areas.
- Take moisture readings using moisture meters and other restoration equipment.
- Document affected areas with photographs, notes, and moisture readings.
- Set up, monitor, and remove air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and other drying equipment.
- Perform water extraction and cleanup as required.
- Complete demolition and removal of damaged drywall, flooring, baseboards, cabinets, insulation, and other affected materials.
- Establish and maintain containment areas for mold remediation projects.
- Perform cleaning, HEPA vacuuming, antimicrobial application, and other remediation-related tasks according to company procedures.
- Properly dispose of damaged materials and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with packing, moving, protecting, and storing contents when necessary.
- Install and remove floor and surface protection, including plastic, rosin paper, and other protective materials.
- Load, unload, clean, and maintain company equipment, tools, and vehicles.
- Follow established safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company guidelines.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, residents, property managers, insurance representatives, and coworkers.
- Provide daily updates regarding job progress, site conditions, equipment, and additional concerns.
- Complete required job documentation, work orders, photographs, moisture logs, and other paperwork accurately.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at all times.
- Perform other restoration-related duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Previous restoration, construction, demolition, maintenance, or related experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials.
- Comfortable working in areas affected by water damage, mold, debris, and construction materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency calls when required.
- Ability to follow instructions and company safety procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry equipment and materials.
- Work on hands and knees, bend, crawl, climb stairs, and work in tight areas.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Work in hot, cold, wet, dusty, or challenging job-site conditions.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
