Civil Litigation Attorney
The Rivas Law Firm, P.A. is seeking an experienced, motivated, and litigation-focused Florida attorney to join our growing legal team.

Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of experience handling Florida family law, civil litigation, and/or first-party plaintiff property damage claims. The candidate must be capable of independently managing cases from inception through resolution, including client communication, litigation strategy, hearings, mediation, and trial preparation.
The successful candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable managing a busy caseload while maintaining compassion and sound judgment when working with clients.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing general civil litigation matters
- Handling all types of property damage claims, including roof, hurricane, wind, water, plumbing leak, fire, mold, and related insurance coverage disputes
- Drafting and arguing motions
- Attending evidentiary hearings and court proceedings
- Preparing for and attending mediations
- Conducting settlement negotiations
- Preparing cases for trial
- Appearing in court and litigating contested matters
- Counseling clients and developing case strategy
- Maintaining consistent and professional client communication
- Managing deadlines, pleadings, discovery, and case progress
Qualifications
- Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar
- Minimum two (2) years of civil litigation, and/or first-party property damage claims experience
- Strong litigation and courtroom experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong client relationship and customer service abilities
- Ability to independently manage a caseload
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and professional
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
