We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse and air cargo operations in our Grapevine, TX facility. This position is responsible for overseeing warehouse personnel, cargo handling activities, compliance programs, facility operations, and customer service standards while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience within warehouse, logistics, freight forwarding, air cargo, or distribution environments and possess a hands-on management style.
Key Responsibilities- Warehouse & Operations Management Supervise daily warehouse and air freight operations. Coordinate inbound and outbound freight activities. Ensure efficient cargo handling, storage, staging, and shipment processing. Maintain warehouse organization and optimize workflow efficiency. Collaborate with airlines, freight forwarders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely freight movement. Monitor operational performance and implement process improvements. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff. Assign daily workloads and monitor productivity. Manage employee scheduling, attendance, and time-off requests. Conduct performance evaluations and corrective actions when necessary. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with TSA, OSHA, company policies, and warehouse safety standards. Conduct routine facility inspections and safety audits. Maintain accurate records of safety meetings and training programs. Ensure all cargo screening and freight handling procedures meet regulatory requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Facility & Equipment Oversight Oversee warehouse equipment and facility maintenance. Coordinate preventive maintenance and vendor services. Monitor operational issues and implement corrective solutions to minimize downtime. Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. Customer Service & Business Support Support onboarding of new customers and operational requirements. Establish and maintain SOPs and service expectations. Ensure operational readiness for customer-specific programs. Partner with management to improve service quality, efficiency, and profitability.
Required Qualifications- Minimum 5 years of warehouse, logistics, freight forwarding, air cargo, or distribution experience. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and freight handling. Experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound operational decisions.
Preferred Qualifications Air cargo or freight forwarding experience. Knowledge of TSA cargo screening requirements and compliance standards. CargoWise or similar logistics software experience. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Ability to safely handle freight and warehouse materials.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
