Sunshine Lighting Group specializes in commercial and industrial LED lighting upgrades through utility-sponsored energy efficiency rebate programs. We help businesses upgrade their facilities with high-efficiency lighting systems while maximizing available utility incentives and rebates.
We are seeking an experienced Energy Efficiency Rebate Coordinator to manage utility rebate applications and project processing through programs such as PSE&G, JCP&L, and other utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have direct experience processing commercial lighting rebate applications, coordinating utility approvals, tracking project documentation, and communicating with utility program administrators, trade ally representatives, contractors, and customers.
This is not a general administrative position. We are specifically looking for someone who has experience working with utility rebate programs, energy efficiency programs, trade ally networks, or commercial lighting incentive programs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit utility rebate applications.
- Process projects through PSE&G Direct Install, Small Business Direct Install (SBDI), and other applicable utility programs.
- Process projects through JCP&L commercial lighting rebate programs.
- Coordinate with utility program administrators and trade ally representatives.
- Review project documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Track application status from submission through approval and payment.
- Manage customer paperwork, signatures, utility bills, W-9s, and supporting documentation.
- Communicate with customers regarding required documents and project status.
- Maintain organized project records and rebate tracking spreadsheets.
- Assist with pre-approval, post-installation documentation, and inspection requirements.
- Identify opportunities to maximize available rebates and incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience processing utility rebate applications.
- Experience with commercial LED lighting rebate programs.
- Familiarity with PSE&G energy efficiency programs.
- Familiarity with JCP&L energy efficiency programs.
- Strong understanding of utility incentive documentation requirements.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Workspace, and online utility portals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working for a Trade Ally contractor.
- Experience with commercial lighting projects.
- Experience working with TRC, CLEAResult, Franklin Energy, or other utility program administrators.
- Experience with energy audits, utility incentives, and commercial energy efficiency programs.
- Knowledge of DLC-qualified lighting products and lighting retrofit projects.
