Junior Summer Associate
We are a public relations/communications firm based in the D.C. metro area that combines public opinion research insights with public relations/communications strategies to serve an array of clients.
The Junior Summer Associate position is designed as a hands-on developmental opportunity for students passionate about communications, research, and critical analysis. Junior Summer Associates will work alongside senior team members, contribute to live client work, and build foundational skills in a fast-paced, rigorous environment.
We are looking for curious, driven students who are inquisitive, think differently, and are exceptional writers with high-level analytical skills. Successful candidates will be able to work well both independently and with a diverse team of professionals.
This is an in-person, temporary position (June through August 2026), and an ideal candidate will be able to commute to our office in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior team members and project leads with day-to-day client work
- Support the development, implementation, and execution of research projects and/or communication/public relations strategies
- Help analyze qualitative and quantitative information and contribute to developing actionable insights
- Perform administrative and analytical support tasks related to market research studies, including organizing and collating focus group outputs
- Independently research and synthesize information from external sources to be delivered to clients or used in larger research projects
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in liberal arts or degree in public relations, communications, political science, psychology, English, or other relevant fields
- Ability to multi-task and accomplish all tasks, small or large, with a high degree of professionalism
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Possess a sincere and genuine passion for communications and public opinion research
- Exhibit strong interpersonal, verbal, and presentation skills
- Possess a keen eye toward detail and organization
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to commit 20-25 in-person work hours per week for the duration of the program (June-August 2026)
- Able to work in-person in our Arlington, VA office, located in the Courthouse neighborhood
- Experience or background in communications, media/journalism, public relations, political science, or political campaigns is highly desirable
