Responsibilities
- Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boilers, and refrigeration equipment according to schematics and design plans
- Perform system diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R equipment, ensuring systems operate efficiently and reliably
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to guide installation processes
- Utilize plumbing skills for proper piping connections and refrigerant handling in refrigeration systems
- Operate welding equipment when necessary for custom ductwork or system modifications
- Maintain detailed service records, installation logs, and maintenance reports for each project or service call
- Ensure compliance with safety standards including proper handling of ammonia refrigeration systems and other hazardous materials
Skills
- Strong construction background with experience in building or property maintenance projects
- Proven service technician experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or appliance repair environments
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical systems integration
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, boiler operation, and equipment repair techniques
- Field service experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC/R issues efficiently
- Familiarity with property maintenance procedures and air conditioning system installation practices
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred
- Hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R certifications preferred
- Proficiency with ohmmeters and other electrical testing tools for system diagnostics
- Welding skills for ductwork fabrication or repairs; experience with boiler mechanics is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments requiring mechanical expertise

Pay: $28.29 - $34.07 per hour
